We're seeking an experienced Structural Steel Site Manager to lead on-site delivery of major steel erection projects across the UK. This is a great opportunity to manage high-profile projects, working with Tier 1 contractors, skilled site teams, and respected industry professionals. You'll be the main on-site contact for all steel operations, ensuring safety, quality, and programme targets are met from delivery to handover.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day steel erection activities and supervise subcontractors

• Implement and maintain RAMS, lifting plans, and QA procedures

• Oversee steel deliveries, offloading, and safe material handling

• Conduct safety inspections and ensure HSE compliance

• Liaise with clients, engineers, and main contractors

• Manage snagging, remedial works, and handover documentation

Requirements:

• SMSTS and CSCS Black/Gold Card (Manager/Supervisor)

• 5+ years' structural steel site management experience

• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

• Ability to read steel fabrication and erection drawings

• Knowledge of lifting operations, tolerances, bolted/welded connections, QA processes

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide

Desirable:

• Appointed Person (Lifting Ops), NVQ Level 6, First Aid, Temporary Works Supervisor
