Are you a versatile problem solver with a skill set that spans from minor electrical repairs to furniture assembly? Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in facilities management that combines technical know-how with hands-on tasks? If so, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview:

As a General Maintenance Operative, you will be the go-to person for a wide range of maintenance tasks within our clients' facilities (mainly churches). Your responsibilities will include small electrical repairs, plumbing fixes, painting, and various other duties that ensure the smooth operation and appearance of the buildings they manage.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform small electrical repairs (limited to unlicensed work).

* Address plumbing issues promptly.

* Carry out decorating and painting for small projects.

* Conduct incidental cleaning of buildings and furniture.

* Perform inspections and maintain accurate records.

* Basic repairs on doors, locks, and windows.

* Install or replace network appliances (in collaboration with specialists).

* Declutter the building and fix kitchen appliances.

* Assemble and install furniture, artwork, and whiteboards.

* Undertake minor flooring works.

* Handle other minor works as they arise, with basic training provided on systems like AV and network.

Planned Monthly Inspections:

* Flick test emergency lights.

* Conduct fire alarm tests.

* Perform water temperature tests.

* Flush through the baptismal font system.

* Check emergency exits.

* Conduct building walk-throughs and visual checks.

Requirements:

* Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, maintenance and repair work essential.

* Proficient use of hand and power tools.

* Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise tasks.
