Structures Test TechnologistCertain Advantage is hiring for a Structures Test Technologist based in Filton.This role is on a contract basis and is office-based.The CompanyWe’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and separate Space and Defense division.Does this sound like your next career move?If you’re ambitious to grow, this may be your next role?Would you like to be responsible for the development of new test rigs, test methods/processes and tools?The Role:This role is for a Structures Test Technologist —someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed.You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Critical structural tests.
• Design and setup of the control and data acquisition systems of the test.
• Design and setup of hydraulic loading systems for test rigs.
• Calibration of equipment.

The Individual We’re looking for people who can show:

• Education (or equivalent proven experience) in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Aerospace, Structures, Materials, Systems, Physics).
• Project Management & delivery
• One of the following disciplines: Aeronautical structures, control systems, structural testing
• Track record of working with Structures, materials or systems testing would be an advantage
• Track record of managing suppliers or participating in supplier selection would be an advantage
