We're looking for a Financial Accountant with strong technical accounting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on role. Reporting into the Head of Finance, this person will be key to ensuring accurate financial reporting, audit readiness, and continuous improvement of internal processes.

This role would suit a recently qualified ACA or ACCA accountant from a mid-sized practice, particularly someone with experience auditing businesses in the £40-60m turnover range, and looking to make their first or second move into industry.

• Own and manage the balance sheet, ensuring reconciliations are timely and accurate

• Post and review key journals including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets

• Produce monthly management accounts with detailed commentary and variance analysis

• Support the year-end close process and statutory accounts preparation

• Liaise with auditors and lead on audit file preparation

• Ensure financial compliance with IFRS and group reporting standards

• Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, systems and controls

• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to support wider commercial decision-making

• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and other key teams

• ACA or ACCA qualified - ideally trained in a mid-tier audit firm

• Experience with audits of businesses c.£40-60m turnover

• Strong understanding of IFRS and technical accounting principles

• Confident with month-end processes and management accounts preparation

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking

• Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting systems such as Dynamics 365 is a plus

• Proactive, curious, and confident in taking ownership

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Salary: £55,000 - £65,000, dependent on experience

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

• Office-based 4 days per week
