Our Client, Oldham Council is seeking a Children’s Social Worker to join their Assessment & Intervention Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Being an active member of the team that features one advanced practitioner and 5 social workers
  • Duty cycle picking up any work coming in for our duty week in our area.
  • Contributing and minuting Strategy Discussions and CIN meetings/plans
  • Undertaking S47 enquiries, single assessments, risk assessments, direct work with children to obtain understanding of their lived experiences and inform decision making
  • Intervention work with families according to their areas of need
  • Presenting children to child protection conferences and legal gateway where appropriate
  • Engaging in supervision to review case work.
  • Safety planning.
  • Contingency planning with families to try and reduce risk of children being accommodated

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
