Job Title: Project Surveyor
Location: Surrey (with projects across the South Coast)
Salary: £65,000 - £90,000 (DOE)

About the Company
Our client is a well-established, growing main contractor delivering a diverse range of projects across the South East. With a strong reputation for quality and repeat business, they operate across multiple sectors including commercial, healthcare, education and residential, typically delivering schemes up to £10m in value. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a capable Project Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The Role

Manage the commercial aspects of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account
Take ownership of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting
Lead procurement of subcontract packages, including tendering and negotiation
Administer subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments
Identify, price, and agree variations
Produce accurate cost reports and forecasts for senior management
Work closely with site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders

Requirements

Proven experience as a Project Surveyor or experienced Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
Background in delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, education, or residential
Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g. JCT)
Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills
Strong negotiation and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Relevant degree or professional qualification preferred
