Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Are you a passionate and experienced teacher ready to make a lasting difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a SEND Primary Teacher to join a highly supportive and dynamic team at a specialist provision for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, autism, and complex learning profiles.
About the School:Our school supports primary-aged children with significant emotional and behavioural needs, many of whom have experienced adverse childhood experiences and disrupted education. The school provides a nurturing, highly individualised environment where children are helped to feel safe, learn at their own pace, and rediscover a love of learning.
The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate teacher to plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons within a trauma-informed and therapeutic framework.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, deliver, and assess a broad and accessible curriculum tailored to individual pupil needs
Foster a safe and engaging classroom where all students feel secure and supported
Contribute to a strong and consistent team culture that supports positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Participate in curriculum development, data tracking, and report writing as part of a collaborative teaching team
Communicate clearly with colleagues, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each child
Work within and contribute to the school's well-established systems for teaching, learning, and behaviour support
What We're Looking ForQTS/QTLS is Essential
A minimum of 2 year's experience working in a SEND setting, alternative provision, or similar environment
A strong understanding of children with SEMH, autism, or developmental trauma
A team player with a deep commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing
Resilience, creativity, and a proactive mindset in the face of behavioural and emotional challenges
