Our client is an AIM Listed technology business operating globally in the Energy sector. This innovative organisation is well funded and is ideally positioned to take advantage of strong opportunities for rapid international growth over the short to medium term and beyond.
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be responsible for liaising with the City, Institutional shareholders and advisers as well as setting the financial strategy to support the commercial operations in maximising sales, profitability and business competitiveness. Additional responsibilities will include managing the finance function in the production of management accounts, cash flow, statutory reporting, forecasting and business modelling. There will also be a requirement to evaluate commercial opportunities including joint ventures, acquisitions and licensing.
You will be a qualified accountant with previous experience of a Listed business at Group level as either Finance Director or Group Financial Controller with recent responsibility for corporate governance and funding. In addition to providing strong financial leadership, you should possess a good breadth of experience in commercial and operational matters. Well-developed communication and presentation skills will be key to success in the role as will a down to earth practical approach combined with a strategic mindset. Sector experience in infrastructure projects, energy, engineering or renewables would be advantageous. Regular travel to North America will be a key requirement.
