The Role

We're looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, Ofsted-rated 'Good' school in Leicestershire. The school supports pupils aged 4-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, offering a supportive and structured environment where students can achieve their potential.

This is a fantastic role for anyone who is enthusiastic, active and enjoys working directly with young people. This role would be a great fit for individuals with a background in education, youth work, sports coaching or care.

What You'll Do

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage focus and emotional regulation
• Support pupils in developing independence, resilience and social skills
• Assist with lessons, outdoor learning and physical activities where appropriate
• Build positive, trusting relationships that help remove barriers to learning

About You

• Experience working with children or young people (education, sports coaching, youth work or care) is desirable
• Patient, energetic and resilient, with a calm and consistent approach
• Able to communicate clearly and build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people
