We are working with a well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in Merton that is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience in a rewarding and supportive SEN environment.

About the Role:

You'll work closely with pupils who have EHCPs and additional learning needs including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You'll support them in lessons, help deliver targeted interventions, and work alongside the SENCo and teachers to ensure every student can reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEN

Support academic learning and social/emotional development

Adapt resources and scaffold learning under teacher guidance

Monitor progress and behaviour, and contribute to student reviews

Promote inclusion and help build students' confidence and independence

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH)

Calm, flexible, and nurturing approach

Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence

Passionate about supporting vulnerable learners

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Psychology degree) are a bonus but not essential
