Room Leader

• Salary: £31,000 - £33,000 dependent on experience

Join a brand-new Thames River facing nursery and play a meaningful role in shaping its culture and practice from day one. We are seeking a Room Leader who is passionate about providing high-quality teaching, learning, and care in a modern, purpose-built environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of EYFS activities within your room.
• Guide and support practitioners in delivering outstanding interactions and model best practice.
• Oversee daily routines including meals, sleep, toileting, and transitions.
• Ensure accurate observations and assessments are completed, using children’s interests to shape planning and continuous provision.
• Maintain a safe environment, complete regular checks, and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and lead daily team briefings and weekly planning meetings.
• Support the emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour of children.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Strong knowledge and experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Proven ability to lead a small team confidently.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable:

• Experience as a senior practitioner.
• Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or behaviour support training.
