My client is based in Brighton and with 1 other office within a driveable distance is recruiting a Head of Finance to take over from the existing job holder, due to promotion.
This client is a leading local Law firm with an additional Investment company as a sister company and they both exceeding expectations in growth. With being in business for over 25 years they are looking to have a Head of finance in place to work mainly on the Investment side, but possibly assisting with other area of the company on occasions.
For this role we need someone who has the following experience:
To be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company and possible risks that may effect the performance.
You will need to be a reliable professional with broad knowledge to all accounting, financial and business principles. They are strategic thinkers and effective leaders who can make the most profitable decisions.
Your main goal is to maintain the company’s financial health, guide the company towards profitability and of course the longer term success.

Play a role in the formulation of the business's strategy - ensuring accurate reporting of all income and expenditure related MI.
Oversee in the preparation of the company's financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time. Oversee all internal control operations.
Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with our external accountants for specialist advice.
Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company
Managing and overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements
Managing and tracking budget and accounting information including billing and pay runs
Qualifications / Skills:
You will hold a professional accountancy qualification (ACA , ACCA or CIMA) and you will of course have the experience and transferable skills to meet the requirements of the job at hand. But it will be your agility, your management experience, your commerciality, your ability to prioritise, and your flexible skill set that will get you the job.
Ideally we need someone who has worked in the Law or Investment management sector is advantageous but not essential.
