An established structural steel fabrication company in the UK is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join their team.This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to determine project requirements.

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs and material pricing for structural steel components.

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates, including labour, materials, and equipment.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive bids.

• Identify and propose value engineering solutions to optimise project costs.

• Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.

• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients to clarify project specifications and requirements

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Structural Steel Estimator within the fabrication industry.

• Strong understanding of structural steel components and fabrication processes.

• Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
