From September 2026, the school is seeking an inspiring and dedicated English and Drama Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to ignite a love of both English and Drama. The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4, while also contributing to the delivery of Drama, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on experience.

You will play a key role in developing students' confidence, creativity, and self-expression-whether through analysing powerful texts or bringing stories to life through performance. This role is perfect for someone who believes in the transformative power of both literature and theatre.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in English and Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where appropriate).
Inspire students to explore language, character, and storytelling-both in writing and performance.
Support students' academic progress while nurturing confidence, creativity, and communication skills.
Contribute to the development of an ambitious and creative English and Drama curriculum.
Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback to support continuous improvement.
Lead and support extracurricular opportunities such as school productions, drama clubs, reading groups, and creative writing initiatives.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a dynamic, supportive, and engaging learning environment.

What We're Looking For

A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with the right to work in the UK.
Experience teaching English at GCSE level (Drama teaching experience is highly desirable).
A genuine passion for both English and Drama, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A creative and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
