One of thee largest automotive corporation in the world is looking to hire a Level 3 Deskside Support Technician in Princeton Indiana for a 12 Month contract. The site will have 3 rotating shifts 1) 530 am 215 pm 2) 700 am 345 pm 3) 800 am 445 pm The level 3 Technical Support technician is responsible for support, troubleshooting and installation of IT infrastructure equipment. This can consist of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, servers, and networking equipment in the environment. Requires experience working directly with customers and other support personnel. Responsible for local coordination, installation and ongoing support of various Manufacturing and Administrative computer systems. Very strong knowledge of Cisco Networking and Windows environment is required. Candidate should be knowledgeable of the following: Cisco Layer 2 Switching & Layer 3 Routing Cisco Enterprise Management & Wireless Networks Cisco Unity PBX Administration IT Cabling Infrastructure Planning & Design for Fiber & Copper Networks Windows 7, Windows 10 Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012 SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012 Windows Active Directory Candidate should be requirements : Candidate will be required to oversee and assist installation & configuration of LAN, Telco and A/V infrastructure. Responsibility also includes break/fix for plant floor equipment. Candidate should be able to work under pressure. Repair and/or replacement of critical plant floor equipment require a 15-minute turnaround time. Strong project management skills a plus. Requires the ability to create and manage project activity. Ability to take direction as well as being a self-starter . Candidate will work directly with Plant Floor and Administrative Staff to identify issues and develop/implement countermeasures. 24 hour on-call coverage required to support multiple manufacturing shifts. CCNA Wireless and CCNA Routing and Switching certifications are plus. Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for on-going support of Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications The IS Site Support Technician is responsible for installation and troubleshooting desktop, laptop, printer, Server, LAN and WAN environment. Requires experience with working directly with customers and development Responsible for local coordination, installation and ongoing support of various Manufacturing and Administrative computer systems. Client-side support: PC HW/SW installation and troubleshooting, Printers, Bar code scanners, Video conference, mobile computing and communication devices. Server support (Windows/Unix), Active Directory administration, implementation/refresh of server hardware and network infrastructure. Daily monitoring, troubleshooting & administration of Cisco multilayer switched networks, servers and data center infrastructure. Ability to provide issue resolution off-hours as needed, both onsite & remotely Provide detailed problem reports. Coordination with Regional/Local IS teams and 3rd party vendors to support IS projects, incidents and requests. Manage and prioritize Incident and Request tickets. Requirements: Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving & root cause analysis skills. Exceptional customer service. Candidate should be able to work under pressure. Self-starter and be able to follow defined corporate processes & policies. Strong team worker, with excellent organization & time management skills. Professional demeanor with excellent written/verbal communication skills. Must possess a high level of quality and attention to detail. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to work flexible hours and overtime Availability to provide 24x7 on-call coverage. Ability to climb ladders and staircases to access IT equipment. Ability to write Infrastructure Cabling Scopes of Work Strong Knowledge of networking infrastructure (Fiber Optic & Copper cabling) General knowledge of telecommunication construction (Conduits, Pullboxes, Handholes) Knowledge of the following: Cisco Layer 2 & Layer 3 Routing, Cisco Wireless Networks, Cisco PBX Administration, IT Cabling Infrastructure (Fiber, Copper, Telco), Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows Server 2008, 2012, Windows Active Directory Working knowledge/experience of PC imaging tools (SCCM), diagnosis and remote control tools. Working knowledge/experience supporting Multifunction printing devices, laser and impact printers, bar code printers & scanners, Smartphones, tablets and PDA hardware and software. Working knowledge/experience supporting Hardware for servers, data backup libraries and SAN/NAS. Experience in Service Management, Change Mgmt., Outage & Problem Management and other ITIL-based best practices. Working knowledge of Cisco standard protocols and other technologies including but not limited to: DNS, DHCP, SCCM, Cisco Works SQL Server database administration (backups, security, monitoring, etc.) knowledge is a plus. Data Center and site infrastructure (Power/UPS, HVAC, cabling, etc.) knowledge/proficiency is preferred A and Lenovo/HP PC repair certifications - provided by Dice
