Design Engineer
Up to £30,000 salary, GL12, 28 rising to 33 days holiday with service, pension, parking, bonus, Monday to Thursday 8.30-5pm, Friday 8.30-4pm, 39 hour week, Permanent role
Opportunity to join a friendly and stable manufacturing company in the South Gloucestershire area as a design engineer or electromechanical designer working on the companies' products. This role reports to the design manager.

The electromechanical designer or design engineer involves

The modification and design of equipment using Solidworks
Design of new products & components, jigs fixtures and related materials
Attend meetings and occasionally visit customers' sites to carry out related design duties
Knowledge of design for battery-powered and electrically controlled products
Working in a small team environment with the ability to use your initiative to complete tasks on your own once you have been trained.
Update records on the ParaCAD system
DAR - maintain and control the change record systemThe electromechanical designer or design engineer skills and background

Knowledge of design for battery-powered and electrically controlled products
Knowledge of CNC machining or similar engineering equipment to enable translation into suitable designs
Experience of Solidworks or knowledge of comparable design tools to get up to speed quickly
Any engineering or mechanical engineering apprenticeship or qualification combined with some design knowledge would be a great fit for this role.
The electromechanical designer or design engineer role is working with an established and friendly production engineering company in South Gloucestershire where you will get product training and be an integral part of the team.
