Role: Azure Cloud Engineer
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 + Bonus
Location: Nottingham (80% Remote)
We're looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure function within a tech-driven organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex cloud challenges, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and helping shape modern, scalable Azure environments.

What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with internal teams to design and deliver reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions built on Microsoft Azure.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain core Azure services, ensuring strong performance, resilience, and operational best practice.
- Set up and manage monitoring and alerting across cloud resources; analyse metrics and fine-tune systems to improve efficiency.
- Champion cloud security by applying best-practice controls across identity, access, networking, and data protection.
- Act as a key escalation point for cloud-related incidents-diagnosing issues, resolving problems quickly, and preventing recurrence.
- Support high-availability initiatives through load balancing, caching, and content delivery configuration.
- Collaborate regularly with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure a consistently reliable platform.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Around 3+ years working with Azure services (compute, storage, networking, databases).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID.
- Hands-on scripting experience with PowerShell.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
- Experience using Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking principles.
- Experience with Active Directory.
- Understanding of containerisation tools such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Microsoft Azure certifications are a bonus.
