We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a fast-moving and highly reputable manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional who thrives in a production environment and has strong experience carrying out first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet strict quality and compliance standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process, working closely with production and engineering teams to identify issues early, support continuous improvement, and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out first-off inspections to verify that initial production pieces meet drawing specifications and quality standards before full production begins.
Perform in-process inspections throughout the manufacturing cycle to ensure processes remain within tolerance and quality requirements.
Conduct final inspections (last-off) on completed products to confirm compliance with specifications before dispatch.
Use a variety of measurement and inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation and reports.
Identify non-conforming products and support root cause investigations where required.
Work closely with production teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and improving overall product quality.
Candidate Requirements

Previous experience working as a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Proven experience carrying out first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Competent in the use of manual inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a production environment.
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of root cause analysis or problem-solving tools
