Job Description

As a day-to-day cover teacher, you will deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of primary year groups. You will step into different classrooms to cover for absent staff members, ensuring continuity of learning for pupils. The school is looking for a teacher who can maintain a calm, supportive, and inspiring learning environment, effectively manage classroom behaviour, and keep students motivated.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school's curriculum.

Ensure a safe and inclusive classroom environment for all pupils.

Maintain strong standards of classroom behaviour management.

Provide constructive feedback to support pupil progress.

Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Engage and inspire pupils to achieve their best during your cover sessions.

Person Specification

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Previous primary school teaching experience (essential).

Strong classroom management skills and flexibility across year groups.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Enthusiastic, adaptable, and motivated to support pupil progress.
