HGV2 Drivers & 7.5 Tonne Tipper Drivers Wanted - Houghton Le Spring 🚛

We are currently recruiting HGV2 Drivers and 7.5 Tonne Drivers for a long-term, ongoing opportunity based in Houghton Le Spring, working on behalf of Sunderland, Gateshead or South Tyneside Councils.

📅 Working Hours:

* Monday to Friday only - No weekends!

* Start time: 6:45 AM

* Finish by 4:15 PM at the latest

💼 Job Role:

* Driving a tipper vehicle carrying concrete or tarmac

* Occasionally required to tow a trailer with a mini excavator - towing experience is an advantage, but not essential

* You must clean out the tipper after each load

* Jobs are local, and routes are well planned

💳 Requirements:

* Valid HGV2 or 7.5 Tonne Licence

* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph

* No more than 9 points on your licence (No DR or DD offences)

* Access to a laptop or PC - all application paperwork will be sent via email and must be completed digitally

💰 Rates of Pay:

* 7.5 Tonne Drivers: £12.75 per hour

* Overtime (after standard hours): £18.75 per hour

* HGV2 Drivers: £14.00 per hour

* Overtime (after standard hours): £21.00 per hour

* Holiday pay is accrued weekly (not rolled into the hourly rate)

* Wages paid weekly in arrears

📌 This is regular, ongoing work, ideal for drivers who are not currently in permanent employment but are looking for consistent weekday work.
