We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join a welcoming Nursing and Residential Care Home in Rugby. The home provides high-quality long-term and respite care, including specialist support for individuals living with dementia, in a warm and thoughtfully designed environment.

With approximately 30 beds, this smaller service allows for a close-knit, family-style atmosphere, enabling meaningful relationships between staff and residents. The home has a rich history of care in the local community, combining modern facilities, private en-suite rooms, and beautifully maintained outdoor spaces.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role within the care team, supporting residents and mentoring junior staff while ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care.

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support residents in their day-to-day care needs while taking a leadership role within the care team. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines
Supporting residents' emotional and social wellbeing
Supervising and mentoring junior Care Assistants
Helping implement individualised care plans
Ensuring the home remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
Maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes in residents' condition
Working closely with nurses, families, and other healthcare professionals
A genuine passion for caring, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead by example are key to this role.
