Psychology Graduate Tower Hamlets - Full time Learning Support Assistant role based in a Primary school in Tower Hamlets, ideal for an aspiring Child Psychologist or Aspiring Primary Teachers
Start date: Immediate in January 2023, LSA role will commence after a successful trial day has taken place.  There are 3 LSA roles available and the school are looking to appoint ASAP.
The school, is an outstanding rated Primary School in Tower Hamlets for children.
This LSA role is ideal for a sincere Criminology, Psychology or Sociology graduate looking to gain practical experience, this LSA role will help you with aspirations in Mental Health, Criminal, Social and Youth Justice.  The role will give you a base of practical experience that is required when looking to progress within Clinical, Educational and Child Development Psychology.

This Tower Hamlets LSA role is all about connection, it has empathy is at the core ethos of the school.  Sympathy and Pity are of no use to the children, being pragmatic and engaging from the first moment of the day is crucial.  It will not always be immediately apparent the night and morning each child has had since they left the school's care, they could well have been through significant trauma, not eaten, slept or even had a safe home to stay in.
2 key questions to always remind yourself of when taking on this LSA role:
Can you make the student's life just that little bit better today and keep them safe?
Can you demonstrate the value of an education to the students?

These are 2 of the key aspects of this role, you must be sincere and understand this role and roles similar, are very challenging.  This LSA role is not easy, each boy has a different context for their mental health and trauma, their own idiosyncrasies that will be different from their classmates.  Their behaviour will likely be unpredictable and will often be dictated by the adults and environments they are exposed to, outside of school.

Next Steps - Please follow the application process, the school are looking to move quickly and see prospective Candidates for trial days, from next week.  If you are successful in being shortlisted for this role, you will receive a telephone call and email contact from GSL within 24-36 hours, we will go from there!
