We are looking for an experienced Stock Control Assistant / Junior Stock Controller to join our expanding Warehouse and Logistics team on a temporary contract starting ASAP

Must Have A Valid Forklift Licence

Pay: £12.60 per hour

About the Role

As part of the Warehouse and Logistics team, you will play a key role in ensuring that all stock items are accurately accounted for, easily located, and maintained in the right conditions. You'll support the day-to-day running of the stock control system and contribute to the smooth flow of goods through the business — from ingredients and components to finished products.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily warehouse cycle counting and stock reconciliation, reporting any discrepancies to management

Complete weekly D2C cycle counts and reconciliations

Update inventory systems to maintain accurate stock levels

Track and balance warehouse consumables, notifying management when restocking is required

Conduct initial investigations into customer complaints related to stock discrepancies

Monitor and report on internal stock transfers, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner

Support the wider warehouse team with picking and packing during special promotions or busy periods

Assist with special projects and ad-hoc operational requests as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar stock control or warehouse role is essential

Excellent PC literacy and confidence using inventory systems

Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail

Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively

Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone

Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy

Location: Aston Clinton (must be able to commute reliably)
