Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton, is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller to join their growing finance team. This is a pivotal role supporting the Financial Controller, offering exposure to both strategic and operational finance in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Financial Controller with financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Lead and develop a small team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Collaborate with operations and senior stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Drive process improvements and controls within the finance function.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a finance team.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
