Job Title: Curriculum Lead- SEN

Location: Leicestershire

Daily Rate: £150 - £180/ £30,000

Nature of Employment: Perm

GSL Education are actively looking for Teachers who have experience working with young people who have SEMH behavioral needs to step into a new role as a Curriculum Lead and Developer.

The school setting is based in Leicestershire and is easy to access by Car. Currently the School are looking for candidates to work full-time (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM Monday to  Friday) in a SEN Learning provision.

The potential candidate must have Primary or Secondary Curriculum knowledge and strong LEADERSHIP skills. The ideal candidate must have substantial involvement dealing with young children possessing SEMH needs. The role will become permanent for the right candidates.

Essential Requirements:-

Primary or Secondary Teaching Qualification/ OR Experience in a leadership role in a school (without Teaching Qualification) 
A minimum of six months' worth of ASD/SEMH experience.
The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively.
Flair for planning creative and effective lessons.
The ability to direct a team of Support Assistants and work as part of a wider team across school if need be.
Experienced in Challenging Behaviour Settings.
1:1 Support - if required.
Dealing with Sensory Impairments and/or Sensory processing difficulties.
Acknowledging complex health needs (e.g Epilepsy, respiratory problems, dysphagia and eating/drinking problems).
Willingness to attend twilight CPD and parent's evenings when required.
DBS on the updated service; or be willing to have it renewed at their earliest.
