We have recently been engaged by a leading financial institution on a newly created Senior Treasury Analyst position focusing on hedge accounting and IFRS 9. This business provides a versatile range of banking services for both individuals and businesses, specialising in mortgage assistance. Our client is searching for an experienced, part or full accountancy qualified Treasury candidate who has experience working with hedge accounting and IFRS 9.

Responsibilities:

• Help to develop and implement hedge accounting strategies to minimise financial risk and optimise hedging effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 9 and prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to hedge accounting
• Maintain documentation of hedging relationships and journal entries related to hedge accounting
• Analyse the performance of existing hedges and recommend adjustments as needed
• Utilise financial modelling techniques to assess the impact of hedging strategies on the company's financial performance
• Create and maintain sophisticated financial models.

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA fully qualified
• Strong Treasury Accounting exposure
• An up to date knowledge of IFRS 9
• A confident approach and a preference for project driven work
• Excellent management skills of FX and hedge accounting.
