Year 5 Teacher - Lancaster Primary

• Daily rate: £168.80 - £215.68 per day
• Location: Central Lancaster
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (April 2026 - July 2026)

We are seeking a dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school in Central Lancaster for the Summer Term. This role is ideal for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a deep understanding of the KS2 curriculum. Experience in teaching upper KS2 is essential, and additional experience in leading and teaching PE and/or Music would be advantageous.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and educational lessons that adhere to the KS2 curriculum.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
• Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback and support to encourage academic and personal growth.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance teaching practices and learning experiences.
• Lead and teach PE and/or Music classes, if applicable, fostering students' physical and creative skills.
• Support the inclusion of SEND students by adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience teaching upper KS2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Experience in leading and teaching PE and/or Music is highly desirable.
• Experience working with SEND students is preferred.
• Must be able to commit to the full term from April to July 2026.
