Quantity Surveyor - Durham - Groundworks - up to £55k + Package

Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking for more ownership, variety, and the chance to genuinely shape projects from tender through to completion?

This is an opportunity to join a growing civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation across the North East, delivering infrastructure works for leading residential developers. With turnover growing from £15m to £18m and a strong pipeline of secured work, they're now looking to strengthen their commercial team with an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor.

You'll be managing 3-4 live projects at any one time, typically roads and sewers packages linked to residential developments. Projects range from £200k to £5m (average around £2m), and you'll play a key role in both winning and delivering work.

Day-to-day, you'll be: Producing Bills of Quantities from drawing packages, supporting weekly tender submissions, managing costs and commercial performance across live sites, identifying and pricing variations, measuring works and managing payments for labour-only subcontractors and working closely with operational teams to keep projects on track and profitable.

They are ideally looking for someone experienced as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering (ideally roads & sewers). However, they are able to help train and develop if you have had Quantity Surveying experience in a different sector.

They are offering between £45k - £55k as a salary, with company car or car allowance, uncapped pension, and a discretionary bonus based on both company + individual performance.
