About the Role
This role will involve supporting children and young people who are subject to Child Protection plans and Child in Need plans.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding when to transfer cases from the Safeguarding team to the Permanence team
  • Building strong and respectful working relationships with families, their support network and our partner agencies
  • Regular assessment writing, threshold application, home visits, direct work, care planning, chairing meetings and case recording in line with our policies and procedures
  • Ensuring that children and young people are actively involved in our work and their voice is captured in our case recording
  • Actively taking part in reflective supervision and group supervision


About You

  • An effective communicator
  • Resilient worker, able to work effectively in a team or on your own, taking ownership and responsibility for the cases you are assigned
  • Confident and competent with the relevant statutory and regulatory framework and have knowledge of an appropriate range of professional interventions
  • Evidence of championing inclusion and diversity whilst making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people
  • Solution-focused person with the ability to deal with sensitive issues.


Qualifications

  • Relevant Social Work qualification
  • Completion of ASYE
  • Active Social Work England registration


Experience:

  • Preferably recent experience in a similar role.


Important Notes:

  • This is a hybrid role. Candidates will be expected to be in the office/community 3 times a week.
  • At the moment we are not accepting candidates that require sponsorship.
  • £3000 welcome payment + £3000 market supplement for this role.
