With a £200 million turnover and a project portfolio spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, and specialist sectors, our client continues to set the standard for modern, collaborative, and digitally-enabled project delivery.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and proactive BIM Coordinator to join our client's growing digital engineering team. This role offers the chance to work within a collaborative environment on complex, large-scale projects — providing practical digital solutions to design and coordination issues and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, BIM-compliant construction outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Create drawings, sketches, and visual aids where necessary to resolve on-site or design-related coordination issues.

*

Ensure all drawings, models, and associated documentation adhere to the standards and protocols outlined in our client's BIM strategy and project-specific requirements.

*

Collaborate with project teams to develop consultant design drawings through to construction issue and As Built stages, incorporating Technical Submittal data and site modifications into models and drawings.

*

Provide practical, cost-effective solutions to coordination and clash issues encountered on-site or within the federated model environment.

*

Attend and actively contribute to coordination meetings with architects, consultants, and other trades, helping to resolve clashes and design discrepancies within the federated BIM model.

*

Maintain model integrity, manage drawing revisions, and ensure accurate records of changes are kept throughout the project lifecycle.

*

Support the delivery of accurate and timely information to project site teams to facilitate efficient construction operations.

*

Uphold company values of innovation, safety, and quality while promoting the use of digital engineering tools and workflows within the business.

Skills & Competencies

*

Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks for MEP coordination and model production.

*

A clear understanding of BIM processes, standards (including BS EN ISO 19650 series), and project workflows.

*

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

*

Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with project teams, consultants, and contractors.

*

Practical problem-solving ability and a collaborative approach to resolving design and coordination issues.

*

Ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Qualifications & Experience

*

Relevant technical qualification in Building Services Engineering, Digital Engineering, or a related discipline.

*

Proven experience working as a BIM Coordinator or similar digital engineering role within an M&E or construction environment.

*

Demonstrable experience in producing coordinated MEP drawings and 3D models for large, complex projects.

*

Experience in attending coordination meetings and resolving clash detection issues within a federated model environment.

*

Familiarity with common data environments (CDEs) and digital document management systems (desirable).
