We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established secondary school in Buckinghamshire, rated "Good" by Ofsted. The school is dedicated to academic excellence and prides itself on creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

They are now seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is a full-time, permanent role.

About the Role

The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will play an important role in developing students' literacy, critical thinking, and appreciation for literature.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is enthusiastic about English and keen to contribute to a collaborative and forward-thinking department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 where appropriate).

  • Inspire and motivate students, supporting both their academic progress and personal development.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the English curriculum.

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support learning and improvement.

  • Support and participate in extracurricular activities, such as reading clubs, drama productions, or creative writing initiatives.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive, engaging, and effective learning environment.

What We Are Looking For
  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • Experience teaching English at GCSE level (A-Level experience is desirable but not essential).

  • A genuine passion for English and the ability to engage and inspire students.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • A positive, proactive approach to teaching and student development.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
