Elegant Clutter work with high end hotels and restaurants and provide a bespoke and outstanding service to clients both within the UK and overseas.

Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-driven Production Technician to join our framing and finishing team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality framed artworks and decorative pieces, ensuring projects run smoothly from initial preparation to final assembly. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in picture framing, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Scope of the Role
As a Production Technician, you will apply proven framing techniques and creative problem-solving to produce bespoke frames, mounts, and finished art pieces. You’ll work across a variety of materials and processes, collaborating closely with design, print, and logistics teams to ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Framing & Finishing
- Carry out all aspects of picture framing, including frame cutting and assembly, mounting, laminating, glass and board cutting, canvas stretching, and mirror framing.
- Execute specialist tasks such as media trimming, computerized mount cutting, and decorative paper or fabric applications.
Workflow & Project Completion
- Manage assigned workshop projects from start to finish, tracking progress and deadlines.
- Flag issues early and coordinate resources to maintain smooth production flow.
Quality Control
- Perform thorough checks at every stage to ensure all finished goods meet specification and quality standards before dispatch.
Stock & Ordering
- Monitor stock levels, raise purchase requests, and manage ordering of materials and consumables.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Project Management, Design, Print, and Logistics teams to meet deadlines and improve processes.
- Identify opportunities to refine workflows and enhance efficiency.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 for documentation and planning.
- Experience in picture framing or similar hands-on creative production environment.
- Practical problem-solving skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
