The Assistant Area Service Manager has the responsibility for overseeing the delivery of service for multiple apartment communities within his/her designated service area. The position will directly oversee assigned Service Porters in his/her designated service area and ensure service is completed safely, efficiently, on time and professionally with the highest level of customer service. Exceptional internal and external communications are critical to ensure the development of close working relationships with corporate clients, as well as internal teams.
High School diploma or equivalent; College degree a plus
PC literate (MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Mobile Apps)
3-5 years prior management experience
Valid driver’s license and availability for extensive vehicle travel within designated service area
Must pass background check and drug screening
Flexibility to work and/or be on call during irregular hours depending on business needs
Ability to work outdoors and work/drive in changing weather conditions
Ability to climb stairs, walk distances, and be exposed to disagreeable odors
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Strong oral and written communication skills
Determining necessary staffing levels to satisfy Scope of Work while remaining within budget.
Training of all staff and subcontractors within designated service area
Expertise in communicating complex tasks in a simple format to team
Source and develop a competent, courteous and reliable staff of waste porters for the designated service area.
Ensure all staff within designated service area provide consistent levels of service.
Ability to travel 25% of the time
