As a Senior Theatre Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering safe, quality care for patients during their peri-operative phase of care.
- Supporting, coordinating and effectively assisting in the management and organisation of care within the operating department.
- Providing quality planned care for patients by ensuring all team members deliver quality patient care.
- Steering the delivery of patient care during a list or specified period of time.
- Ensuring that patient safety checks are carried out under the policy.
- Contributing to quality improvement and promoting best evidence-based practice.

The ideal person for the Senior Theatre Practitioner role should have:
- NMC or HCPC registration.
- A post-registration qualification relevant to functional specialty i.e. Advanced Scrub Practitioner or Surgical First Assistant qualification.
- ENB 998 and/or mentorship course.
- An approved or recognised anaesthetic course.
- ILS and Orthopaedic skills.
- Previous experience working within an acute healthcare environment.
- Experience managing and leading a clinical team.
