We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to join a well known brand, overseeing the financial operations of our UK entity and its subsidiaries. This role is ideal for a professional who is fully qualified in ICA, ACCA, or CIMA, with a robust background in financial management, including experience in a chartered accountancy firm.
Day-to-day of the role: - Oversee the financial operations, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and consolidated reports.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Conduct variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage the annual budget and rolling forecasts in collaboration with the Management Accountant.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions, monitor key financial KPIs, and advise on profitability and revenue growth.
- Oversee corporate tax, VAT, and indirect tax filings, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Manage the group’s cash flow, optimize treasury processes, and develop strategies to hedge foreign exchange risks.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and manage financial risks.
- Oversee the ERP and financial reporting systems, driving automation and process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Fully qualified ICA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in financial management, preferably with some experience in a firm of chartered accountants.
- Proficiency in using SAGE 200 or equivalent accounting package and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP Systems and working to strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and supervisory experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
