TSR are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join a fantastic Consultancy who are specialists in Architecture, Building Surveying, Project Management, Building Services, Cost Consultancy and Facilities Management.  

As a Building Surveyor you play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful completion of building projects by overseeing and managing all aspects of surveying, design, project coordination, and contract administration. You are responsible for ensuring projects comply with regulations, are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will be based out of either their Manchester OR Liverpool office. Must be willing to travel up to an hour from the office when required.

Key Duties:

Conduct thorough surveys to assess building condition, structural integrity, and maintenance needs.

Produce detailed reports with repair or improvement recommendations.

Survey various property types, including residential, commercial, and industrial.

Ensure adherence to building regulations, health and safety standards, and local requirements.

Provide guidance on compliance for new and existing properties, including fire safety and environmental laws.

Oversee planning permission compliance for modifications and refurbishments.

Carry out precise site and building surveys, documenting measurements and findings.

Conduct ongoing site inspections to ensure construction aligns with plans.

Interpret and verify building plans for accuracy.

Lead design and planning of new builds, refurbishments, and extensions.

Produce feasibility reports and ensure practical, cost-effective solutions.

Ensure all designs meet regulatory and safety standards.

Collaborate with stakeholders and provide technical input.

Estimate costs and optimise design within budget.

Prepare tender documents and manage procurement.

Evaluate tenders, select contractors, and monitor contract compliance.

Develop and monitor project budgets.

Track costs, manage financial reporting, and handle contractor claims.

Identify and mitigate project risks (technical, financial, schedule-related).

Resolve on-site issues to minimise disruption.

In return you will receive a basic salary between £35,000 - £45,000 + Car allowance and mileage.
