Your new company
Store Property is a well-established property investment company based in Chichester. The company has a substantial turnover and a portfolio of varied high quality commercial assets in London and throughout the South East. They wish to appoint a Company Accountant to work within their modern Chichester office.
Your new role
As Company Accountant you will report directly into the Finance Director. You will ensure all the day to day functions of the finance department including rents and purchase ledger processing are completed on a daily / weekly / monthly basis as required. You will be accountable for quarterly VAT returns, CIS obligations in addition to ensuring the fixed asset register is maintained for all additions, disposals and construction activities. You will work closely with the Financial Controller where necessary with regards to service charge accounting, the setting of budget & forecasts in addition to producing reports to occupiers. You will prepare full year end schedules for audit, produce full statutory accounts whilst ensuring the files prepared for audit are complete and accurate. As part of a collaborative team you will play your role in driving improvements with regards to processes and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully Qualified Accountant, technically attuned with a hands on mentality which suits an SME environment. You have a keen eye for detail with sound knowledge in financial control in addition to keeping all accounts balanced to a high standard. What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of between £45,000 to £55,000 (dependent upon experience) + access to a contributory company pension scheme (employer contribution of 10%), Health Care and 25 days annual leave. The company offices are modern and spacious with facilities including a shower and are a close walk away from Chichester city centre. There is free parking either on site or at the closest car park which is a 2 minute walk from the office (voucher provided for nearby car park).
