Job Title: Line Manager - Production (Caravans & Lodges)

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Line Manager to oversee a production team involved in the manufacture of high-quality caravans and lodges. This role requires a hands-on leader who can lead by example on the workshop floor, ensuring that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and health & safety procedures are strictly followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and manage a team of production operatives involved in the assembly of caravans and lodges.

Plan, organise and allocate daily workloads to ensure production schedules and deadlines are achieved.

Monitor quality standards to ensure all products meet company specifications and expectations.

Promote and enforce strict adherence to health & safety policies across the production floor.

Provide coaching, training and support to develop team members' skills and improve overall performance.

Conduct daily team meetings to communicate updates and relay information between the production team and senior management.

Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Support inventory management by ensuring materials and components are available when required.

Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and address any performance issues.

Work closely with the Quality, Purchasing and Drawing Office teams to resolve production-related issues.

Organise manpower, labour allocation, overtime and supervision to ensure full operational efficiency in collaboration with other team leaders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven experience within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in caravan or lodge manufacturing.

Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.

Good understanding of assembly processes, tools and machinery used in manufacturing environments.

Ability to manage workloads effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.

Knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe working practices within a manufacturing setting.

Ability to mentor and develop team members in line with company policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience as a Line Manager or Production Manager.

Experience in caravan, lodge or modular construction manufacturing.

Familiarity with quality management systems within a manufacturing environment.
