What You Will Do -
Undertake specialist Occupational Therapy assessments for patients with acute medical, surgical, orthopaedic, or trauma conditions.

Develop and evaluate tailored treatment and rehabilitation programmes.

Support safe and timely discharge planning in collaboration with community teams, social care, and families.

Provide expert advice on adaptive equipment, home adaptations, and strategies to maximise independence.

Manage a caseload of complex patients, prioritising effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Supervise and support junior OTs, assistants, and students on placement.

Contribute to service development and quality improvement projects.

Maintain accurate and timely records in line with legal and policy requirements.
Person Specification Qualifications & Registration
Essential Experience
-
18-24 months' post-qualification experience across varied OT rotations.

Experience in an acute hospital or similar clinical setting.

Proven skills in functional assessments and discharge planning.

Evidence of CPD in relevant clinical areas.
