Professional Services Engineer (Microsoft Modern Workplace Solutions)

Remote (with travel to customer sites)

Up to £65K + Benefits

A Bechtle Modern Workplace Engineer is a member of the Professional Services Team within the Business Solutions and Services - Post Sales department. You will be responsible for planning, designing, migrating, and securing Microsoft Cloud solutions for our clients. Your primary focus will be understanding our clients' requirements, designing and implementing Modern Workplace solutions to best practices. Collaboration and communication with all key stake holders to deliver high-quality solutions & services. This role requires a deep understanding of Microsoft Modern Workplace technologies along with a passion for staying up to date with the latest advancements in the cloud computing domain.

Job Role Responsibilities

* Solution Design and Implementation: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess and understand their modern workplace requirements, design appropriate solutions, and implement effectively to best practice.

* Full Microsoft 365 Tenant-to-Tenant migrations inclusive of all cloud application data such as SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID. Often including multiple tenants into one.

* Migration of legacy on-prem applications and file data to Microsoft 365.

* Migration of on-prem Active Directory to Entra ID in line with a modernisation strategy and best practise

* Design, configuration and optimisation of SharePoint sites/libraries/workflows

* Creation and management of Autopilot profiles, ESP configurations, and end-to-end device provisioning workflows.

* Deploy and manage applications through EMS platforms, ensuring secure and seamless access to business applications on mobile devices.

* Configuration of identity management solutions, such as Conditional Access, to enforce secure user management, authentication and access.

* Deploy role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure proper access control and authorisation.

* Implement Microsoft 365 compliance strategies, encryption mechanisms, data loss prevention (DLP) policies and data labelling using Microsoft Purview.

* Deploy and support the rollout of wider Microsoft 365 features in a controlled manner with clear communication and process creation

* Create and develop detailed technical documentation, configurations improvements for client solutions.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

* Proven and comprehensive experience migrating Microsoft Active Directory architecture to Entra ID.

* Strong understanding of data structures and migrating legacy file repositories to SharePoint online.

* Strong understanding of information protection, data classification and security/DLP/Purview.

* Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools.

* Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

Experience

* 5 years+ experience in Microsoft Security and Modern Workplace delivering and optimising client solutions.

* Desirable Certifications (Current & In date)

* Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

* Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate

* Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert

* Microsoft Azure Security Technologies

* Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect
