Central Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Progression Coach, to work in the Didsbury area. The 12 bed service provides a safe space for young people aged 16-22 years where they can access support.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working across Monday - Friday on a rota basis covering early (7:30AM - 3PM) and late (2:30PM - 10PM) shifts. Temporary cover is required for approximately 3 months. The pay rate for this role is £13.91 per hour, with £1.68 holiday pay, totalling £15.59 per hour.

In this position, you will be expected to;

* Hold a caseload of 3 key clients and conduct regular key working sessions resulting in agreed SMART Support Plans which are reviewed regularly

* Complete comprehensive risk and needs assessments

* Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations

* Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times possible, including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable

* Deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with

* Support clients to maximise their income

* Proactively work in partnership with multiple agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing of clients

Please note: this role involves lone working

* Experience of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness

* An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health and substance misuse

* Knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning

* Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures

* Experience of de-escalation

* Experience of lone working

Further requirements:

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:

* Current valid right to work in the UK

* Minimum 12 months' of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)

* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £60)

* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
