Job Title: Electrical Shift Engineer

Salary: £52,000 - £55,000 per annum

Working Hours: Continental Shift Pattern (Days & Nights, 7:00am - 7:00pm / 7:00pm - 7:00am)
Overtime: Available

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a high-profile site in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a critical and fast-paced environment, offering strong career progression, structured training, and a competitive salary package.

You will be part of a shift team responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of all electrical and building services systems on site.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance

* Electrical fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs

* Maintenance and servicing of AHUs (Air Handling Units) and FCUs (Fan Coil Units)

* Testing and maintenance of emergency lighting systems

* Fire alarm testing and basic system checks

* Sprinkler system inspections and testing

* Maintenance of lighting systems including Simtronic lighting

* Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health & safety regulations

* Monitor plant performance and respond to system alarms

* Complete accurate shift reports and maintenance records

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation or equivalent

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)

* Previous experience in a critical or commercial building environment

* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

* Experience working within a shift environment (desirable)

* Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
