Process Engineer (Hydrogen Generation)

Kintec Recruitment is currently working on an exclusive basis with our client, a leading independent energy company, to source a Process Engineer to join their rapidly expanding Hydrogen Generation and Carbon Management team in Germany.

Our client is well positioned to contribute to the Energy Transition and have ambitions plans to explore hydrogen generation technologies and develop Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) solutions.

The Process Engineer will play a key role in helping to deliver on this by:

" Providing technical expertise for projects and research in CCS, steam reforming (blue hydrogen) as well as methane pyrolysis (turquoise hydrogen)
" Participating in activities to identify, plan and realize energy transition projects
" Delivering input to technical tendering documentation and facility cost estimates
" Assessing and liaising with vendors / technology providers for technical support and quotations
" Developing key project documents, such as block flow diagrams or similar
" Developing and utilizing process simulation models
" Liaising and closely collaborating with other engineering disciplines where required
" Closely co-operating and contributing towards identifying and promoting energy efficient and sustainable solutions

Main Requirements:

" Master degree (or equivalent) within a relevant engineering discipline
" 7 - 12 years process engineering experience
" Experienced in hydrogen generation and fuel cell technologies, H2 storage and CO2 separation
" Multi-discipline understanding and insight into other facilities engineering disciplines
" Competence with process modelling software
" Key knowledge and familiarity with international codes and standards
" Ability to build and maintain close, constructive and trusting relations to stakeholders, including team members, other corporate functions and all relevant business units
" Self-motivated, pro-active, solution driven and having a client-orientated mindset. Ability to multi-task
" Good communication skills, effective across a broad spectrum of nationalities and cultures. Mobility is a plus
" Fluency in English (written & spoken)
