Technical Sales (Security)

Location: Essex plus travel across the UK

Hours Contracted to 8.30am to 5.30pm, however hours worked as reasonably required to deliver position due to the requirement to travel to third party premises, events, overnight stays as required.

Role Purpose:

As our Tech Sales, you will be responsible for directly contributing to the continued growth through the development of winning bid submissions and quotations, supported by competitive pricing models and technically accurate solutions.

The area of focus will be Door Entry, Access Control, CCTV, and Gates & Barriers. This role develops new sales opportunities and nurturing existing relationships across a range of B2B customers.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

Identification of new business opportunities, in the form of new projects, customers or tech technologies which bring a commercial benefit to the business.
Forge and maintain good working relationships with customers and consultants, in pursuit of becoming their 'trusted partner'.
Production of accurate and technically viable system designs and solutions, in alignment with customer requests, specifications and regulatory requirements.
Production of professional, presentable and well-articulated proposal documents, providing customers with a clear presentation and understanding of the proposed solution.
Production of competitive, and commercially beneficial pricing models
Attend customer meetings and site surveys, to build and develop key relationships
Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of British Standards for relevant systems required
Excellent knowledge of products and systems relevant to security offering including copper and fibre optic structured cabling systems, WLAN, and other low voltage systems
Awareness of AI tools to support efficient operations
Experience:

Previous experience, ideally 3 years, in a Security sales environment is essential
Applied fundamental understanding and previous user experience of CRM
AutoCAD, Visio, and Bluebeam experience preferred
Proficiency in project estimating through the use of Excel documents and other software tools
