Mason James Appointments have a new exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to join a leading UK drinks manufacturer based in Maidstone, Kent.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for:

* Managing existing customers and business relationships

* Successfully manage or co/manage customer projects

* Lead pricing negotiations and tightly manage P&L

* Build positive new customer relationships to bring these opportunities to life

* Identify creative new business opportunities that benefit the business and its customers

To be successful for this opportunity you will need:

* FMCG knowledge and experience working with a large UK customer

* 5 years' experience of managing customers across Retail & Food Services

* Be self-motivated and driven to achieve and succeed

* Preparation of inspirational presentation material

* Insight and awareness of key consumer trends

* Edudated to degree level or equivalent

* Chilled short shelf life food experience highly desirable

Responsibilities:

* To produce and agree customer plans and objectives in-line with business objectives and overall business strategy.

* To protect and grow Gross & Net Sales Value, Gross Profit, Operating Income and other key business measures through planned negotiation.

* Proposes and agree payment terms and broader trading criteria in line with company targets and best practice

* Develop annual plans in alignment with new and existing customers to facilitate growth, development and the realisation of new opportunities.

* To communicate with all internal functions, ensuring that high quality and efficient service is provided at all times

* Carry out regular visits to customers so to ensure the effective implementation of agreed plans whilst building multifunctional and multilevel relationships.

* Pro-actively identify existing and new customer opportunities via 'gap' analysis and liaise with marketing to develop and deliver tangible benefits.

* To champion key projects and initiatives in line with company strategy and product road map to ensure that identified sales and profit targets are met

* Project management - Ensure clear projects briefs are produced, great communication is fostered and structured meeting disciplines are actioned.

* To actively forecast and demand plan all customer SKU's under personal jurisdiction

* Create and maintain individual account files, maintaining factual historical and current records of all activity.

* Ensure that account details, visit reports and project management communications are clear, concise and communicated appropriately
