Main responsibilities for the General Manager role are:

Lead from the front across all departments: front-of-house, F&B, events, housekeeping, and more

Serve and direct operationally - especially during peak periods and key events

Drive local footfall into the restaurant, pub, and tea room through community engagement and excellent service

Grow conference & meeting business with strong delegate package conversion

*

Build a thriving wedding trade across both large and intimate venue spaces

*

Maximise festive trading with creative packages and event coordination

*

Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team across all functions

*

Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and brand standards

Champion a guest-first culture with a high level of on-the-floor visibility and support

Skills required for the General Manager role are:

GM, Deputy, or Ops Manager experience in a full-service hotel

Strong F&B background and event know-how

*

A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and floor presence

Proven ability to grow revenue across multiple income streams
