CNC Machinist

Expected earnings of up to £53,000 per annum
Salary: £25,000 - £38,000 per annum + Overtime @ 1.5x
Location: Near Watlington, Oxfordshire

Hours: 37 Hours a week (Early Friday Finish)

As part of a brand new facility, you will be involved from the outset, in creating a world class manufacturing cell producing a range of safety critical products. You would be responsible for undertaking a wide range of manufacturing processes.

CNC Machinist Duties:

Set and operate fully automated multi axis CNC machining centres
Understand and edit CNC programmes
Assemble components in line with stringent quality standards
Apply corrosion resistant coatings using paint spraying equipment.
Inspect their own work, using a range of equipment including magnetic particle crack detection and coordinate measuring machines.
Actively participate in a 5'S programme, to continually improve production output and quality targets

CNC Machinist Profile:

5+ years experience setting and operating CNC Machines (Mills, lathes)
Capable of compelting self inspection to a high standard
Knowledge of Engineering Drawings
Aerospace manufacturing background would be ideal

CNC Machinist Qualifications required

Recognised engineering apprenticeship / National tech certificate engineering / City & Guilds / E.I.T.B / NVQ / BTEC / EAL
English and Mathematics GCSE 4-9 (A-C)
Computer literate

Successful candidates may be expected to participate in a training programme located near Uxbridge
