Mechanical Engineering Technician, Farnborough, Hampshire to £34,000

* A versatile workshop-based Mechanical Technician position at our Farnborough factory/office unit. Some site work maybe required during installations (Worldwide.)

* Mechanical build and set up of robotic systems and bespoke automation products from drawings and assembly schedules.

* Build and setting of pneumatic component systems, piping, i.e. trunking / PMA conduit (training can be given).

* Setting sensors and making fine adjustments ready for commissioning and software testing. (Training can be given).

* Cutting and building aluminium extruded frames and guarding, cutting of Trespa and Perspex with power tools and hand tools.

* Maintain a high standard of quality, taking pride in the job and finesse in building of systems and equipment.

* Ability to read, understand and build to 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD Models.

* Maintain check sheets and sign off sheets on built equipment.

Experience & Attributes Required

* Applicants need to ideally have a technical background and training with at least 2 years proven hands on experience as Multi Discipline Mechanical Technician. With a passion for this field of machine system building you are required to think and contribute to the team.

* You should be able to think out of the box on modifying systems and introducing adjustments during development.

* Enjoy working as part of a team, provide good daily communication to the Engineering Mechanical Lead / Manager.

* Liaise with the Design Office and work to apply improvements, prototype builds and feedback changes.

* Comply with health and safety requirements, maintain plant and machinery to a safe level, keep the area clean/safe and tidy.

* Work in a tidy organised fashion.

* Careful and methodical preparation of systems for site installations.

* Understand the importance of quality and good presentation.

* Ability to work to deadlines, where longer days are maybe required to get the job done.

* The applicant should have a good range of personal tools.

* Must have a full driving License and a Passport.
