kolt recruitment are looking for a met technician / strip fitter (nights) to join a busy and well-established accident repair centre based in Grays. this is a great opportunity for an experienced strip fitter who can work efficiently overnight, keeping the workflow moving and ensuring vehicles are stripped and refitted to a high standard.

key responsibilities

* carry out met strip and fit on a range of vehicles within the bodysho

* remove and refit mechanical, trim and electrical components safely and correctly

* identify additional damage and report findings to the estimating team

* complete repairs in line with manufacturer standards and bodyshop procedures

* ensure all parts are stored, labelled and handled correctly

* work closely with panel and paint teams to maintain efficiency overnight

* keep the work area clean, safe and organised at all times

requirements

* proven experience as a met technician / strip fitter within an accident repair centre

* confident removing and refitting mechanical, trim and electrical components

* good understanding of modern vehicle systems and repair methods

* strong attention to detail with a quality-driven approach

* ability to work independently and meet targets on night shift

* ata / nvq qualifications beneficial but not essential
