A dynamic and growing multi-disciplinary construction consultancy based in Central London is currently seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This consultancy delivers a broad range of residential, mixed-use and commercial projects across London and the South East, providing high-quality cost management and project advisory services.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor Role

The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support Senior Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers in the delivery of multiple projects, assisting with cost planning, procurement and contract administration. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be involved from early feasibility stages through to final account, gaining valuable hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

This Assistant Quantity Surveyor role offers structured training, clear progression and full APC support, making it ideal for someone keen to achieve MRICS status and progress towards Quantity Surveyor level within a reputable consultancy.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost plans, budgets and feasibility estimates* Support tender processes, including preparing documentation and analysing returns* Assist with cost reporting, valuations and variation assessments* Support contract administration under JCT forms of contract* Attend site and client meetings alongside senior team members* Maintain accurate project cost records and documentation* Provide general commercial support across multiple projects

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally within consultancy* Experience working on residential or commercial projects desirable* Basic understanding of pre- and post-contract duties* Familiarity with JCT contracts* RICS accredited degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management* Working towards APC / MRICS or keen to enrol* Strong numerical, organisational and communication skills
